Putting forth your talent in front of an admiring and encouraging audience is something all children look forward to. A great opportunity was given to all the new comers (before the vacation) to do so. 17th May was a big day for everyone in the family- the performers and the audience. The
icing on the cake was the presence of Mr. Sandeep Dutt, once the National Director of the International Award for Young People (IAYP).
The programme included a variety of displays. There were group and solo performances of songs and dances- some prepared under the fine guidance of teachers, while others were prepared by the girls in a matter of three days, only! But the highlight of the event was a group dance presented by the junior girls on the popular Psy's Gangnam Style!
The show ended with a very interactive talk that Mr. Dutt had with the students. He questioned us about the reason why we were all present there. Numerous hands raised, a dozen answers, but the one with the right, and the finest answer was Shreya Agrawal, grade 8, who said that her reason was simply, to enjoy. This was thought -provoking, indeed.
All of us felt immensely happy and proud of our fellow mates who were not just beautiful and
intelligent but also very talented. True it is, that Ecole teaches us much more than what is in the textbooks!
