cbse international girls school in india

Drop Everything and Read, DEAR! It was mid day. Everyone was busy with their classes, some trying to exercise their brains on math problems, some trying to enhance the beauty of their language, and some trying to put down the pictures in their mind on a piece of paper, beautifying it with color. Suddenly and unexpectedly, the school bell pealed loudly! Some of us were very happy that the mundane class had ended just when ma'am asked us to take
out the homework. We stretched our facialmuscles and smiled, thrilled to bits...But there must have been some who were sad to miss their favorite class. Whatever the thoughts might have been, there was still great confusion. Everyone was trying their best to make the right guess - the reason the bell rang so unexpectedly. We were guided towards the assembly hall, and when we reached, this is what we saw. Some girls standing, looking lost, some busy scattering newspapers and magazines on the floor. The Guessing Game was still on. The game finally came to an end when a teacher revealed the reason: It was DEAR time! We were told that henceforth the bell would ring any time of the day and it was an indication to drop all our work and pick up the magazines and newspapers provided, and read. Hence the name, D-E-A-R- Drop Everything And Read! This was an amazing way to chill, to shun boredom and to gain some knowledge along the way! Some of us want to read, to keep ourselves informed about things happening around, but don't have the time for it. Most of us are unaware about the outside world. There's another group, too- the lazy group! DEAR sessions are beneficial for all the groups!
Ecolites look forward to DEAR time every day.
